Rotary E-Club Service Without Borders Kicks Off a New Year
May 5, 2023
It was with deep gratitude, humility, and a profound sense of responsibility that our President, Dr. Izu Obani (PhD, KSJI), welcomed us into a brand new Rotary year—one filled with purpose, passion, and boundless possibilities.
In his address, Dr. Obani reminded us that as Rotarians, we are united by the values of service, integrity, leadership, and fellowship. He emphasized that our greatest strength lies in working together, supporting one another, and communicating effectively across borders, cultures, and communities.
As an E-Club, uniquely positioned to serve without limits, we are called to transcend geography and connect hearts globally. This year, the President is placing strong emphasis on:
- Effective communication
- Unity of purpose
- Dedicated support
- Collective action
He encouraged all members to engage fully—attending meetings, contributing ideas, supporting projects, and most importantly, showing up for one another.
Looking ahead, the club will embark on a series of impactful projects aligned with Rotary’s seven areas of focus, including:
Community health outreaches
Literacy and education initiatives
Empowerment programs for youth and women
Clean water and sanitation projects
Strategic collaborations to expand our reach and impact
Dr. Obani urged members not to be bystanders but active stakeholders in creating the change we envision. He called on every Rotarian to bring their unique strengths and positive energy to the mission.
In the true spirit of Rotary, he charged us all to “Create Hope in the World”—beyond borders, beyond barriers, and beyond expectations.
Here’s to a Rotary year of action, impact, and service without limits!
